Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors are pretty much on the polar opposite side of the spectrum from the Houston Rockets. While Houston is looking to compile assets, Golden State is looking to turn theirs into players that can help them win now, which makes them a potential match for Christian Wood.
Golden State has James Wiseman currently penciled into their starting spot, but he could be traded for an established player that would improve their chances of taking home a title in 2022. In addition to him, the Warriors also have the No. 7 and 14 overall selections in this year’s draft they could look to move as well.
All three of those assets should intrigue Houston. While it is unlikely that they would be able to land all three from Golden State, it doesn’t hurt to ask. Wood would add another dimension to the Warriors’ offense.
Given his age and contract, plenty of teams will pony up trade offers if they believe he is a missing piece to their equation. The Warriors could be one of them.

The Warriors also have Andrew Wiggins’ contract they can include in a deal. Could they expand this trade to bring back Eric Gordon to help bolster their backcourt in addition to landing Wood? If Golden State is serious about upgrading the roster with players to help them win now, a Wood/Gordon combination does make sense.
