When looking at this trade, it features two teams that are used to competing for the NBA postseason. That was not the case this year for either the Indiana Pacers or the San Antonio Spurs. That means there could be some big moves coming out of both front offices as we approach the offseason.
Indiana has already made some big moves this year. It began when Victor Oladipo was sent to the Houston Rockets at the beginning of the season. Once this trade was made, the Pacers saw endless possibilities with the other assets they have any organization.
Some big names have been featured in NBA trade rumors but nothing has been done just yet. The Pacers or an interesting position where they could look to add a piece or two in hopes of competing in a weaker Eastern Conference.
It might be a bit more difficult for the Spurs but they are a better team overall. The Western Conference is extremely deep and is only going to improve over the years. San Antonio could be close to returning to the postseason if they balance the roster around their young stars.

If this is the case, they could look for some more depth in the front court or look for a replacement at the point-guard position.
