Does this trade make sense for the Dallas Mavericks?
Is there a way for me to make this any more clear than saying yes? If this offer was put on the table by Washington, then Dallas shouldn’t hesitate to agree to the trade.
Now, if the Dallas Mavericks are the ones sending this offer to the Wizards, they better cross their fingers that Washington is willing to rid of Beal for a discount, which is highly unlikely. It’s already unknown if the Wizards would be willing to entertain any offers for Beal, let alone one that doesn’t help them much.
But for the Mavericks, they would be getting a premier scorer on the offensive end that is about to enter the prime of his career. While Doncic has done well as the primary ball-handler, he needs someone else that can take some pressure off of him.
Beal could do more than just ease his workload as teams would have a tough time game-planning ways to slow down the All-Star duo. Also, Beal would instantly improve the shooting on the Mavericks, and with Doncic’s extension approaching, it would entice him to sign the dotted line.

So once again, to make myself clear, this trade would be a robbery for Dallas, especially since they want to move on from Porzingis anyways.
