The New Orleans Pelicans could be a team that makes a major roster shakeup this NBA offseason to maximize the potential of their face of the franchise, Zion Williamson.

There are already rumors that Williamson’s family does not want him in New Orleans, so the organization has to get to mending that relationship ASAP.

Williamson has only played two seasons in the NBA but has already shown that he is a transcendent star. His freakish athleticism allows him to play in the paint in a truly dominant fashion. It is something we haven’t seen done so easily since the days of Shaquille O’Neal.

The Pelicans are in a good spot to upgrade the roster for this season and maintain salary cap flexibility going forward for at least another season. That is what happens when the best player on your team is still on a rookie contract and the organization must take advantage of that.
