The Minnesota Timberwolves continue to be in NBA purgatory as a team that is unable to make the necessary leap to advance to the playoffs.
Since the 2003-04 season, the Timberwolves have made the playoffs just once, which occurred in 2017-2018.
To some, Minnesota may have found a talented trio in Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell, and Anthony Edwards. But what if the Timberwolves are willing to listen to trade offers for Russell?
Plenty of teams this offseason are looking for a point guard to add to their roster. Russell is a gifted scorer and he could help certain teams bolster their roster around the stars they currently have.

During the 2020-21 season, Russell managed to average 19.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 5.8 assists despite experiencing injury concerns. With a full offseason, there’s little reason to believe as though he will not be back into a rhythm next season.
