3 point guard options for Los Angeles Clippers this offseason

LA Clippers, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

The Los Angeles Clippers are going to do a little reshuffling of the deck this NBA offseason. They proved they have some heart by defeating the Utah Jazz in the second round and pushing the Phoenix Suns to six games without Kawhi Leonard.

Leonard’s impending free-agency will be the main focus for the Clippers’ offseason, and rightfully so. If the team is to achieve their goal of winning an NBA Championship, he will have to be in the fold.

In addition to keeping Kawhi Leonard, the team could use an upgrade at the point guard spot. Even during the regular season, the team was scouring the market for a point guard before landing Rajon Rondo before the NBA Trade Deadline.

Adding another playmaker to the roster would help improve the team’s offense, taking some pressure off of Leonard and Paul George not only to create for themselves but others as well.

Whether or not Kawhi Leonard returns to the Clippers this offseason or not will determine what route the team takes to fill the position. Should he leave, a big shakeup could be on the horizon, leading to the team keeping their first-round pick and using it on a point guard. Should Leonard stay, a veteran acquisition via trade or free agency is more likely.

Who could the Clippers be targeting for the point guard spot this summer? Here are three options they could consider.
