New York Knicks Receive: G Bradley Beal
Washington Wizards Receive: G Immanuel Quickley, F Obi Toppin, F Kevin Knox, 2021 First-Round Pick (via NYK), 2021 First-Round Pick (via DAL), 2023 First-Round Pick (via DAL), 2025 First-Round Pick (via NYK), 2027 First-Round Pick (via NYK)
This would likely be the best package the Knicks offer without including RJ Barrett in a deal. Holding onto Barrett is imperative for New York to build a sustainable winner and in this scenario, they accomplish that.
The Knicks unload every one of their young players in this deal, giving Washington some pieces to work with. This is the first deal that involves Immanuel Quickley, who had a great rookie season. Even if he doesn’t develop as a point guard, he has the look of a future Sixth Man of the Year candidate with the scoring prowess he showed.
Toppin doesn’t fit on the Knicks as long as Julius Randle is in town as Tom Thibodeau has been reluctant to run out lineups that don’t have a true center in them. Knox needs a change of scenery, as he was buried on the Knicks bench and a fresh start would do him some good.
The draft compensation is the key to this deal. This is why you make trades such as the one they did involving Kristaps Porzingis; it gives you options down the road.

The Knicks are sending over five draft picks, in addition to the young players. They can do swaps in the even-numbered years leading up to 2027 as well, as the Stepien Rule states NBA teams cannot be without first-round draft picks in consecutive years.
With a Russell Westbrook trade likely following should Beal be traded, the Wizards would have virtually a clean slate of a roster with a cache of draft picks that would be rivaled only by the Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans.
