The Portland Trail Blazers could be facing a difficult decision this offseason. Can franchise cornerstone and All-NBA performer, Damian Lillard, be heading out of town via trade?

He posted a cryptic message on his social media account after the team was eliminated from the postseason in the first round for the fourth time in five seasons. While no formal trade request has been made by Lillard, that post stoked the fire and there have been trade rumors swirling around the NBA that he could be playing for another team next season.

The team’s head coaching search has also reportedly been a factor in Lillard potentially moving. Terry Stotts and the organization agreed to part ways following the postseason and the hiring of Chauncey Billups to replace him was something that didn’t sit well with Lillard.

The Weber State product has finally begun garnering the attention of people in the basketball world in recent years as many of his long-range 3-pointers have gone viral. While he went under the radar for some time, that is no longer the case as Lillard is finally beginning to receive some of the recognition he deserves.

Lillard is signed through 2025, so the team is in no rush to trade their best player. However, it would be smart for the team to begin preparations in case a trade request is made and they are not caught off guard by it.

Which teams should the Blazers focus on if Damian Lillard trade talks heat up? Here are three teams who could offer the best package for him.
