It was shaping up to be a special season for the Denver Nuggets as they were cementing themselves as title contenders in the NBA regular season.
Unfortunately, a season-ending knee injury to Jamal Murray derailed their hopes of reaching the NBA Finals, causing them to be eliminated in the Conference Semi-Finals.
Even though he’s shown improvement thus far, there seems to be a consensus belief that Michael Porter Jr. isn’t going to remain with the Nuggets beyond his rookie contract.
This season, Porter showed why Denver took him in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft despite having a serious back injury. Porter flashed his enticing skill set as a 6-foot-10 small forward, recording 19 points per game while shooting 44.5 percent from beyond the arc in 2020-21.

Given his abilities as a 23-year-old forward, Porter could draw a ton of interest on the trade market this summer.
