Miami Heat

The Miami Heat have a lot of their free agents they have to figure things out with, as Kendrick Nunn, Goran Dragic and Duncan Robinson are all hitting NBA free agency. If they are unable to retain Robinson, they will need a 3-point shooter to replace him in the lineup and Tim Hardaway Jr. could be the guy.

There are reports that the Heat have Hardaway Jr. on their radar in free agency and that he would love to play for the team. His father, Tim Hardaway Sr., played in Miami for 5.5 seasons during the late 90s.

If Hardaway Jr.’s contract talks begin to raise, the Miami Heat can easily maneuver around their salary cap to fit a big number on their books.

Hardaway Jr. would give them a much-needed scoring option to take some pressure off of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. His defensive shortcomings would be made up for; if they can do it for Robinson, they can do it for Hardaway Jr.

A homecoming of sorts for him makes sense for both sides if they can make the numbers work. He could either be in the starting backcourt or give the Miami Heat a lethal scoring duo in the second unit alongside Tyler Herro.
