The Los Angeles Lakers were ousted early in the 2021 NBA playoffs, losing in the first round of the postseason to the Phoenix Suns. Late in the season, injuries mounted up for Los Angeles, forcing them to take part in the play-in tournament just to get into the playoffs.
Then, an injury to Anthony Davis in the first round was what led to the Lakers being sent home before they could defend their title as NBA champions.
The main focus of Los Angeles this offseason is to bolster the roster around LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Come time in free agency, the Lakers could peruse the open market to see who they could add to the team that would address the needs on the roster.
