Minnesota Timberwolves Receive: G Tyler Herro, G Goran Dragic, and F Andre Iguodala

Russell would be the only piece going to the Heat and he would join Butler and Adebayo to create a bit of a big three. This is a move that could improve Miami right away and give them their threat along the perimeter. Riley has built up some assets in Miami and he could send some your way here.

Goran Dragic and Andre Iguodala are short-term, veteran options that could be sent to Minnesota. The real intrigue in this deal will be Tyler Herro. During his first two years in the league, Herro has looked like a player with great potential that could help the rebuild in Minnesota.

The indictment on D’Angelo Russell has always been his ball dominance and swapping him out would resolve that. He is a talented player and would bring a needed spark to the Miami Heat but is his skill-set truly what the Timberwolves need moving forward?

The off-ball skill-set that Tyler Herro brings to the table could be an intriguing complement to go along with Anthony Edwards on the perimeter from the Timberwolves’ perspective.

The inclusion of Goran Dragic and Andre Iguodala would provide the Timberwolves with stopgap options to fill important roles. Ricky Rubio is likely on his way out but moving Russell would leave plenty of room for both he and Dragic to tag team the point guard position, nevertheless.

Let’s take a closer look and see how this deal would benefit both sides right away.
