These are two teams that could be busy during the offseason. Both the Dallas Mavericks and Indiana Pacers have been featured in NBA trade rumors since the beginning of the year. Those talks are going to intensify and the teams could even get together for a deal themselves.

Let’s begin with the Mavericks. This is a team that brought Kristaps Porzingis to town in hopes of creating a duo with Luka Doncic that could get Dallas back to the postseason. This has been successful as the Mavericks have been a postseason team in each of the last two years.

That includes clutching the fifth seed this season. In both appearances, the Mavericks were eliminated in the first round by the Los Angeles Clippers. Now, Porzingis could be unhappy with his current situation.

If Dallas decides to hang onto Porzingis, they need to improve the point-guard position. This is where the Pacers could come into play. They sent Victor Oladipo away in a trade at the beginning of the regular season.
