Toronto Raptors
It almost seems like a guaranteed thing that Kyle Lowry is going to be departing the Toronto Raptors in free agency. The expectation is for Fred VanVleet to take his spot or the Raptors could address the point guard position with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
While adding a young piece in the draft would be ideal, Toronto could elect to take a more experienced route by making a move for Kemba Walker too.
Getting Walker would allow Suggs — or whoever they select — to find their footing in the league before being given a prominent role.
Injuries have been a legitimate concern with Walker in recent years and his contract isn’t one that teams are clamoring to absorb. And for the Raptors, they are already paying Pascal Siakam, VanVleet, OG Anunoby, and they need to make a decision on Norman Powell.

Even though a trade is unlikely for Toronto, I wouldn’t completely rule out a trade for Walker for the Raptors, especially if they are keen on building a team that can return to the playoffs next season.
