New Orleans Pelicans Receive: G De’Aaron Fox
Sacramento Kings Receive: G Kira Lewis Jr., C Jaxson Hayes, G Eric Bledsoe, No. 10 pick, 2022 first-round pick (via LAL) and 2023 first-round pick
The objective of this NBA point guard brought to town to pair up with Zion Williamson. This is a league driven by the point-guard position and De’Aaron Fox has turned into one of the better ones out in Sacramento.
It is time that Fox is paired with other young stars in hopes of turning a franchise around. That simply will not happen if he remains in Sacramento given the constant failures the team has experienced in the NBA Draft. Tyrese Haliburton is nice…but he also isn’t Luka Doncic! Meanwhile, Marvin Bagley III is getting attention for his Twitter likes and not his play on the court.
The Pelicans have some assets they would be able to move but this deal would not force them to split up their duo. Kira Lewis Jr. and Jaxson Hayes would be the two big men going back to Sacramento.
Eric Bledsoe and some first-round draft capital, including the 10th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, will also be a part of the deal.

This would be a clear indication that Sacramento will be building around Haliburton long-term and try to capitalize on the trade value of veteran players in a fire sale. That would put players like Harrison Barnes and Buddy Hield very much on the trade block.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade scenario centered around De’Aaron Fox would impact both the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings.
