Does this trade make sense for the Los Angeles Lakers?
Montrezl Harrell signed a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers last offseason. He was used as a bench piece in his first season and looked comfortable in his role. Now, the Lakers no longer appear keen on relying on him all that much.
In 69 games, Harrell averaged 13.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in 22.9 minutes a night. With one year left on his deal, Harrell could be used as one of the bigger trade pieces for Los Angeles.
Jordan is a more-expensive option for the Lakers but they have succeeded with veteran big men in the system. Dwight Howard comes to mind when thinking of recent big men who have been valuable off the bench.
Jordan could fit in with LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the rotation. The draft pick is arguably the most-important aspect in this deal. The Lakers could be looking to improve the frontcourt and the point-guard position. If this is the case, a second draft pick in the first round would give them a better chance to add that perimeter option.

The Lakers were the favorites to come out of the West this season before they suffered injuries to their stars. It will be the same next year and the front office could continue to be aggressive in the offseason.
