Toronto Raptors

Re-signing with the team that he has been with since the 2012-13 season makes a lot of sense. Kyle Lowry is the most decorated player in the history of the franchise and if he wants to return to the team, they would be very open to it.

Lowry and Fred VanVleet have combined to be a great backcourt duo as their games mesh well together. Toronto also has to re-sign Gary Trent Jr. in restricted free agency, giving Toronto a very talented guard trio to work with.

Given the familiarity with each other, the two could also work out an agreement that if Lowry returns and the team continues to struggle, they will look for a contending team to trade him to.

A similar sentiment was shared at the NBA trade deadline, as the Raptors wanted to send Lowry to a contending team of his preference as long as they received what they felt was a suitable return package.

A return to Toronto makes sense for both sides should that be what Lowry wishes to do.
