Kyle Lowry is one of the more intriguing free agent point guards this summer. Normally players who are 35-years old wouldn’t generate much interest, but he has proven that he still has plenty left in the tank.
Lowry averaged 17.2 points, 7.3 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 34.8 minutes per game. Those kinds of numbers would help many teams if they were able to land him in NBA free agency.
The only downside is that he appeared in only 48 games, as Lowry has missed double-digit games in four of the previous five seasons. However, if the NBA trade deadline was any indication, that will not deter teams from pursuing him.
Lowry was heavily involved in rumors going down to the wire at the deadline before the Raptors decided to hold onto their franchise icon. His hometown Philadelphia 76ers, the Miami Heat and LA Clippers all aggressively pursued Lowry but to no avail.
