Veteran point guard Goran Dragic could be heading into NBA free agency this summer. The Miami Heat have a $19.4 million team option on him which they can choose to accept or decline. It will undoubtedly be a difficult decision for the Heat to make.

Dragic has been with the team since he was traded there by the Phoenix Suns back in 2015. He has been a steady performer in South Beach, but injuries have begun taking a toll.

He has missed at least 14 games each of the last three seasons and his injury in the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Orlando Bubble really derailed the team.

When he has been able to stay on the court, Dragic has proven that he can still produce. This season, in 50 games, he averaged 13.4 points, knocking down 37.3 percent of his 3-pointers along the way. He also chipped in 4.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 26.7 minutes per game.

While he won’t be the top target for many teams in NBA free agency, as the point guard position is rather deep in this free-agent class, there are still some teams that would benefit from adding him to their roster.
