The Portland Trail Blazers were eliminated in the first round of the postseason for the fourth time in five years. This could cause some disgruntled feelings coming from some of their top players. It is going to be an important offseason in Portland and NBA trade rumors will be hot and heavy coming out of the gate.

Damian Lillard is going to be mentioned in many of these. There have been rumors around the NBA that Lillard is growing impatient with the situation in Portland. If this is the case, he could request to trade a trade to get himself out of town.

If he does not do this, CJ McCollum is a likely candidate to be moved in a blockbuster trade. The Blazers have not been able to take that next step in the Western Conference and could be looking to shake things up.

This is where the Utah Jazz come into play. Utah is another team that has been unable to take that step toward a championship.

This season looked like the year the Jazz could finally do so, but suffered a loss in the second round to the Los Angeles Clippers. Utah enter the postseason as the top seed in the West and with the best record in the league.

It would be interesting to see these two conference foes team up for a trade, but nothing is impossible. Here is what a potential NBA trade scenario centered around CJ McCollum could look like between the Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers in the offseason.
