All signs pointed toward the Utah Jazz being one of the final two Western Conference teams that would compete for a chance to play in the NBA Finals. The Jazz held a 2-0 lead over the Los Angeles Clippers in the Semifinals, only for Utah to blunder their opportunity, even with Leonard sidelined in the final games of the series.

To be fair, Mike Conley was out for the Jazz until Game 7, and even then, he wasn’t the same player he was during the regular season.

Conley was fantastic for Utah this season, notching 16.2 points, six assists, and 1.4 steals per game while knocking down a career-best 41.2 percent of his three-point shots. To reward him for his efforts during the season, Conley finally made his first All-Star team at 33 years old.

Following Utah’s collapse in the Semi-Finals, it is uncertain if Conley returns, but both sides could very well be interested in a reunion this offseason.

But if Conley decides to test free agency, the Clippers would be remiss to not try and lure the veteran point guard. Making the money work would be tough for Los Angeles, as they would need to maneuver some players around to create enough room to fit Conley.

Nevertheless, a trio of Conley, Leonard, and George would be more than enough to position the Clippers for a title run next season.
