Lonzo Ball
Seeing that the Los Angeles Clippers are pushing for a chance to win a championship sooner rather than later, getting a young point guard may not be the ideal choice. That being said, Lonzo Ball is a more well-rounded player than most veterans, even though most people don’t want to admit it.
Ever since his days at UCLA, Ball has always been a gifted passer and a tantalizing perimeter defender. But in the past two seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans, Ball has evolved into much more than that.
He’s been asked to have different roles on the roster with Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram handling the ball more. Doing so has allowed Ball to work on his three-point shot, which has drastically improved.
In the past two seasons, Ball has shot 37.6 percent from beyond the arc, even with him averaging 7.2 three-point attempts per game for the Pelicans. With New Orleans moving on from Stan Van Gundy, it remains to be seen if Ball fits their long-term plans centered around Williamson.

Ball is a restricted free agent, so the Pelicans can match any offer that comes his way. If the Clippers are interested in Ball, they’d likely need to conduct a sign-and-trade for the former first-round pick.
