Derrick Rose
Derrick Rose has had a renaissance of sorts in recent seasons as he’s been able to remain healthy. There was a point in Rose’s career with the Chicago Bulls when he was on track to become one of the best point guards to ever play in the NBA. Sadly, knee injuries derailed his career in Chicago, forcing him to work tirelessly to secure another chance in the league.
After bouncing around multiple teams, Rose found the New York Knicks this past season following a trade from the Detroit Pistons. In the 35 games he played with the Knicks in the regular season, Rose recorded 14.9 points, 4.2 assists, and he made 41.1 percent of his three-point attempts.
Rose would be even better in New York’s first-round series versus the Atlanta Hawks, putting up 19.4 points, five assists, and he converted a remarkable 47.1 percent of his outside shots.
Even though he isn’t the athlete he once was, Rose has evolved into an efficient shooter on the offensive end. Plus, he’s still capable of attacking the basket and facilitating the ball when needed.

Given Rose’s pedigree as a pure-basketball aficionado, he would fit well with Leonard and George in Los Angeles. Rose is an unrestricted free agent that could be willing to accept a slightly cheaper contract to play for a contender next season.
