The Los Angeles Clippers are amid a battle with the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals, with Kawhi Leonard absent from the lineup. It’s never too early to begin looking toward the future, and it’s been well-documented that Los Angeles would love to add a point guard alongside Leonard and Paul George this NBA offseason.

Reggie Jackson has stepped up his performance in the playoffs, but starting him next season wouldn’t bode well with fans. It would be considered a lateral move at best with a real chance for regression.

The good news for the Clippers is that there is going to be an expansive amount of point guards available this offseason, whether it be through NBA free agency or on the trade market.

Given the roster’s current construction, Los Angeles is in win-now mode, with a veteran being the best fit. But there are younger guards that the team could consider if the opportunity present itself.

Of course, the upcoming offseason for the Clippers could be altered drastically depending on Leonard’s decision to return or not.

If Leonard returns, finding a point guard becomes a top priority for Los Angeles as they hope to contend in the Western Conference next season. Despite the improved play from Jackson in the postseason, these are a few point guards that the Los Angeles Clippers should pursue this summer.
