Orlando Magic: Bradley Beal
The Orlando Magic are a team that doesn’t seem to have much of a direction for the franchise. The roster is comprised of mostly young players that are still developing, with some of them returning from serious injuries. Both Markelle Fultz and Jonathan Isaac are both expected to return from knee ailments sometime next season. Amid Orlando’s drought from the playoffs, getting a talent like Beal could expedite their process of returning to relevancy.
It’s a pipe dream for a team like the Magic to acquire Beal, but sometimes you have to dream big. Orlando has quite a few holes on their roster that need to be addressed, with the shooting guard spot being an uncertainty this offseason.
What would the Magic even give up in an extremely hypothetical trade for Beal though? First-round picks for 4-5 years, Isaac, Fultz, and Cole Anthony? That might just be the start of what it would take to pry Beal away from the Wizards.
Oklahoma City Thunder: Brandon Ingram
No team has a better chance of making a sudden turn toward relevancy in the next 3-5 years than the Oklahoma City Thunder. Oklahoma City possesses 18 first-round picks from now through the 2027 NBA Draft, giving them plenty of firepower to acquire proven players in the coming years.
Sam Presti could choose at any moment to begin making methodical moves that help the Thunder return to being a playoff team. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the only player on Oklahoma City’s roster that you can say will be on the roster next season. While getting a point guard to pair with Gilgeous-Alexander would be ideal, so would getting a wing player like Ingram.

Ingram could be a perfect piece for a team like the Thunder that is taking a patient approach in building a contender. The team could allow Ingram to develop even further as a player and by the time he’s entering his prime, Oklahoma City could be prepared to contend in the Western Conference.
