Cleveland Cavaliers: Brandon Ingram

The Cleveland Cavaliers have taken a guard-heavy approach in recent years, filling out their backcourt with Collin Sexton and Darius Garland. Even last offseason, they took Isaac Okoro, who is best-suited to play the shooting guard position.

Given the crowded nature of their guard spots, the Cavaliers could trade Sexton, especially since he’s seeking a contract extension soon. He has been a name that’s become a staple in NBA trade rumors as a result of those circumstances.

In an attempt to bolster the other positions on the roster, Cleveland could pursue Brandon Ingram via trade this offseason. Ingram is an experienced 23-year-old wing player that is entering his sixth season in the NBA in 2021-2022.

The sky remains the limit for Ingram after he’s put together back-to-back seasons of 23.8 points per game and 38.6 percent shooting from beyond the arc. Instead of setting their sights on Jalen Green or Evan Mobley, Ingram could be a better addition for the Cavaliers.

Toronto Raptors: Damian Lillard

All signs point toward Kyle Lowry leaving the Toronto Raptors in free agency this offseason. Some believe that Fred VanVleet will replace Lowry at point guard, leaving someone to replace VanVleet at the shooting guard spot.

However, what if the Raptors could replace Lowry with a superstar like Damian Lillard? Lillard would be able to escape the Western Conference and start fresh with an organization that is keen on competing for a title.

Most NBA Mock Drafts have Toronto taking Jalen Suggs, who would immediately fill the void left by Lowry. If Lillard requests a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers, then maybe Portland accepts their fate and elects to start anew with Suggs as their new point guard. Even if Lillard isn’t on their radar, the Raptors are a team to keep an eye on for some of the notable names on the trade market.
