4 steps to a perfect NBA offseason for the Los Angeles Lakers

In a perfect world for the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James never injures his ankle by stepping on the foot of Solomon Hill, Anthony Davis remains healthy, and Dennis Schroder gives consistent play at the point guard position. Now, the focus is on the NBA offseason.

However, James and Davis endured injuries in the latter part of the season (leading into the playoffs), and Schroder was far from consistent. There just didn’t appear to be a clean fit between the veteran point guard and the team’s superstars.

Following the team being ousted in the first round of the playoffs, the Lakers turn their attention to improving the roster this offseason.

Schroder is an unrestricted free agent and he may price himself out of the range that Los Angeles is willing to pay. He is reportedly going to be seeking a deal in the range of $100-120 million and that is simply too much for the Lakers to pay him, if that ends up being the market price to do so.
