Does this trade make sense for the New York Knicks?

It was a surprising season for the New York Knicks. Tom Thibodeau came in and made an immediate impact on the franchise. On the floor, he changed the defensive strategy and the Knicks bought in.

The Knicks quickly turned into one of the best defensive teams in the league and this won them a few games. Now, it is time to put the right players on the floor.

It was obvious from the beginning that the Knicks needed another star, preferably at the top of the offense. Randle was good but he is not that No. 1 option to rely on and he showed that during the postseason. He is going to get his money but it is important that the front office in New York adds another dynamic player.

If Terry Rozier is available in trade talks, this could be the player to go after. The Knicks took a look at Rozier when he was a free agent but ultimately decided to stay away. This is the chance for the two sides to come together.

The NBA is a point-guard driven league. This is something that the Knicks do not have and need to get if they want to be taken seriously as contenders. That’s why a trade for Terry Rozier makes plenty of sense.
