3. Unload DeAndre Jordan
DeAndre Jordan just concluded his second of a four-year deal he signed with the Nets last offseason. He did not contribute much this season and could be one of the players sent away. This is a move so the Nets could save some money.
Jordan is not making a ton but every dollar counts, especially when it could be spent in a better way. He is set to make $9.8 million next season. He played 57 games for the Nets this season and averaged 7.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
He did not show much on either side of the ball and this led to him not playing in the postseason. Jordan could still have some value in a trade. He would be able to get more time on the floor in a different situation.
Brooklyn Nets could get his money off the books if they are able to find a trade partner.

Brooklyn could be in the market for an upgrade in the frontcourt. They might not get it back in the trade involving Jordan but this would allow them to open a spot on the roster and look for an upgrade.
