Boston Celtics Receive: G De’Aaron Fox
Sacramento Kings Receive: G/F Jaylen Brown

This trade is as simple as it gets. De’Aaron Fox would be going to Boston in a player-for-player swap for Jaylen Brown. This would shake up the look of both teams immediately.

For Sacramento, that is what they are looking for to become relevant while the Boston Celtics are looking to win right away. If the team has been unable to build a winner around Fox, it may be worth shaking things up and taking advantage of having Tyrese Haliburton on his rookie deal.

In order to do so, the Sacramento King would need to reconfigure the roster around Haliburton and one way to do so would be to capitalize on Fox’s trade value to add more firepower on the wing. Jaylen Brown would be an intriguing option to do so.

Fox would join Jayson Tatum as the focal point of the team in Boston. They would be attempting to add a dynamic point guard and use Brown as a piece. He would take over as the top player on the floor for the Kings and will have to lead them right when he walks in the door.

The Celtics need to find a long-term answer at the point guard position after the Kemba Walker experiment failed. Trading away Jaylen Brown would be a far from ideal outcome, but if it could land a player like De’Aaron Fox? That’s something to consider.

Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade scenario involving Jaylen Brown and De’Aaron Fox would benefit both the Boston Celtics and Sacramento Kings.
