Prediction: Remains with Portland Trail Blazers

Along with Bradley Beal, Damian Lillard is another superstar player that is going to have his name discussed in trade rumors this offseason.

The Portland Trail Blazers already made a change by firing Terry Stotts and replacing him with Chauncey Billups. Amid the news of Billups being hired, there are reports that Lillard could choose to force his way out of Portland in hopes to play for a team that can contend.

Even though I’d love to see Lillard join a title contender this offseason, I don’t think he’ll be leaving the Trail Blazers just yet. Portland could make alterations to the roster this offseason to convince Damian Lillard to stay.

On the other hand, five first-round exits in the last seven years definitely takes a toll on you. Could this end up being a situation similar to James Harden and the Houston Rockets where the situation deteriorates over an extended period of time before reaching a breaking point?

Similar to Bradley Beal, I believe Damian Lillard gives the Trail Blazers one more year to put together a winning roster before he asks for a trade.
