The free agency period of the offseason is a little over a month away, which means trades are also on the horizon in the NBA. Additionally, there will be a lot of eyes on NBA trade rumors leading up to the 2021 NBA Draft.
Some teams have more assets than others to conduct trades, putting them in position to land one of the big-name stars via trade.
A few of the notable players to watch this offseason when it comes to a possible trade are Bradley Beal, Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, Kristaps Porzingis, and Pascal Siakam.
While everyone is in favor of chaos happening, it’s unlikely that all of these guys will be dealt to a new team during the offseason. There are a lot of factors in play in each of those players’ outlook when it comes to a potential trade — making it unlikely for all of them to be moved.
Though, that doesn’t mean a trade involving that specific player won’t occur within the next year. Sometimes, it takes a little bit of time for a situation to unravel and reach a breaking point. The Houston Rockets beginning the season with James Harden is a prime example.
Ahead of the active part of the NBA offseason, I attempt to predict where some of the star players could be traded in the coming months.
