Does this trade make sense for the Denver Nuggets?

The Denver Nuggets made a move at the NBA trade deadline for Aaron Gordon and it helped him tremendously in the regular season. They were able to go on a run and land the third seed in the Western Conference playoffs.

The Nuggets came up just short once again but that should make the front office even more determined heading to the offseason. Denver appears to be in legitimate need of another perimeter star that can be available in case of injury to Murray and take pressure off of Jokic.

The duo of Murray and Jokic is one that has proven to be dynamic. Jokic is coming off an MVP season while Murray has proven that he is a big game player in the past. If Murray does not have to be traded in this deal, it is a win for the Nuggets.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander would give them another option on both ends of the floor. This will create a big three in Denver and keep them near the top of the conference. This move will do wonders for a team on the offensive end because of the space it would create.

Gilgeous-Alexander is still young player and is not up to getting paid just yet. This move could help the Thunder and keep them in a good financial standing.
