The Los Angeles Lakers are always very active participants in the NBA offseason and always looking for ways to put together a championship contending roster. They did so two years ago when they traded for Anthony Davis and they did so last year when they went out and were able to acquire Dennis Schroder and Montrezl Harrell.

Unfortunately for them, this year just simply was not their year due to injuries and some players just not fitting in on their roster. They were unable to repeat as champions and as a result, LeBron James and co. will be looking at ways to potentially add even more talent this offseason.

With James and Davis as their two superstar talents, the Los Angeles Lakers are always going to be in the discussion to win a championship, as long as they remain healthy, but they have been rumored to be looking for a third superstar talent.

Los Angeles is a huge market and all of their sports teams are never shy about looking to add talent, which is why this offseason could definitely be a big one for the Lakers. They have been featured in NBA rumors to be targeting guys like DeMar DeRozan, Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook in the past, but now, they may have their eyes on Damian Lillard.

Over the last few days, there have been numerous reports about Lillard possibly being “unsettled” in Portland due to their lack of consistency and according to Jason Quick of The Athletic, there is a “palpable sense of urgency coming from Lillard’s camp.” Quick also stated that “Lillard wants to win big and he wants to do so now.”

With all of the unrest in Portland and their superstar potentially being unhappy, could the Lakers use this opportunity to springboard themselves into the “Damian Lillard sweepstakes?” Let’s take a look at the best trade the Los Angeles Lakers could offer the Portland Trail Blazers this offseason in hopes of pairing Lillard with James and Davis in L.A.
