Dallas Mavericks
In the first round of this year’s playoffs, the Clippers were on the brink of being eliminated early by the Dallas Mavericks. But for the second consecutive year, Los Angeles would send Dallas home in the playoffs despite a herculean effort from Luka Doncic.
After facing the Mavericks twice in the postseason during his stint with the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard has seen first-hand how talented Doncic is as a player.
With that in mind, maybe Leonard views Doncic as a perfect player to form a duo with moving forward. The wunderkind for the Mavericks has achieved quite a lot in his career, and he has plenty of room to get even better.
The recent turmoil in the Mavericks front office, coaching staff, and the hiring of Jason Kidd could all point toward Leonard straying away from seeing Dallas as a preferred landing spot.

However, there’s no doubt in my mind that a duo of Leonard and Doncic — along with other pieces — could dominate in the Western Conference. Both players put together a truly sensational series against each other but would be a real force as a duo on the Mavericks.
