Does this trade make sense for the Toronto Raptors?

It was a bit of a surprising year for the Toronto Raptors. They were expected to compete in the Eastern Conference but did not qualify for the postseason. This was a shot considering the state of the competition. It was top-heavy and unimpressive after the top three teams.

The Raptors will sport a new look next year and could look even different if they make a couple moves. It starts with the No. 4 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and it certainly would not hurt to add another top 10 pick in the process. Doing so could help add another intriguing prospect, or bolster a trade-up package.

Fred VanVleet has to step up and be the next franchise player for the Raptors. He was given a lucrative extension and has looked like the real deal so far. It would be interesting to see how Wiggins fits into the offense.

While Wiggins is not a strong three-point shooter, he can use his size and athleticism to get in the lane and score at the rim. If this is what the Raptors are looking for, they could get Wiggins out of Golden State.
