Mike Conley

Prediction: Re-signs with the Utah Jazz

It was weird seeing Mike Conley traded from the Memphis Grizzlies to the Utah Jazz two years ago after he spent 12 seasons in Memphis. But in the past two seasons, Conley has been a key contributor for the Jazz, finally making his first career All-Star game this season.

At 33 years old, Conley registered 16.2 points, six assists, and 1.4 steals per game while knocking down a career-high 41.2 percent of his three-pointers.

There’s a chance that Mike Conley, following a disappointing conclusion to Utah’s season in the Conference Semi-Finals versus the Clippers, chooses to see what is available to him on the open market.

Quite a few teams would love to add Conley to their roster in hopes that he is the missing piece to their puzzle. However, it’s hard for me to see any scenario this offseason where Conley doesn’t re-sign with the Jazz, running it back with Donovan Mitchell for at least one more season.

There will be no shortage of suitors for Mike Conley given his ability to run an offense, shoot off-the-dribble, and make plays for teammates. The Jazz will need to retain him and will get it done.
