Does this trade make sense for the Brooklyn Nets?

There were plenty of reasons why the Brooklyn Nets underachieved in the postseason. Both Kyrie Irving and James Harden were dealing with injuries. Joe Harris did not show up and Nash proved to be in over his head on the sidelines. Nothing can be said about Durant because he did all he could each and every game.

If Brooklyn wants to continue adding star power, they could look for another trade. The Nets added Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge, prior to his retirement, when they were bought out by their previous teams.

The super-team proved to be human when players began going down. There would be some injury concerns by adding Kristaps Porzingis into the mix since he has rarely played a significant majority of his team’s games within a single-season. Gaining Maxi Kleber in addition would help, though.

The Nets were not the strongest in the frontcourt and that is where Porzingis could help. He would add another injury-prone player but would also give the Nets some depth on both ends. During the postseason, Brooklyn went with just two or three players off the bench.

This was another reason they were exhausted. The Nets have two years remaining of Durant and Irving and the franchise needs to win a championship if they want this to be a success.
