Oklahoma City Thunder Receive: Mo Bamba and 2024 second-round pick
Orlando Magic Receive: Kenrich Williams, 2023-first-round pick (via MIA), and 2021 second-round pick (via DEN)
For the Thunder, Presti is taking a patient approach with the number of assets the team has in the next seven years. Therefore, Presti doesn’t want to overextend for a player by sacrificing a ton of draft picks for a middling player just because the team can afford to. He wants every move to be calculated in a way that helps the team improve now and win in the future.
So why not target a player that could please both sides of Oklahoma City’s future outlook? Mo Bamba was a name that was thrown around ahead of the trade deadline this season, only for him to remain on the Orlando Magic.
The Magic landed Wendell Carter Jr. in a trade with the Chicago Bulls, which prevented Bamba from seeing extended minutes.
Bamba, a former first-round pick, is still 23 years old and has the potential to become an ideal modern day center that can shoot, defend the rim, and rebound.

It likely wouldn’t cost the Thunder much to acquire Bamba, sending Kenrich Williams, a 2023 first-round pick (via MIA), and a 2021 second-round pick (via DEN). Williams would likely become a future trade asset for the Magic.
