Does this trade make sense for the Los Angeles Lakers?

The Lakers want to trade Kyle Kuzma, they would not mind moving on from Montrezl Harrell and a rookie is not going to help them in a title during the 2021-22 season, so what part of this deal does not make sense for the Lakers?

Adding Malcolm Brogdon would be another move made by Rob Pelinka that sets the Los Angeles Lakers up for success and would quite honestly be one of the better moves they could make given the impact Brogdon can have in every aspect of the game.

He has shot 38.6% from three-point range over the course of his career, he is consistently one of the best defensive guards in the league, he shoots just under 90% from the free-throw line, and over the last two seasons, he has averaged 6.5 assists per game!

Malcolm Brogdon is the perfect “point” guard that the Lakers can add to their roster and I put that in quotes because Brogdon is not really a true point guard. He is a much different player than a guy like Dennis Schroder and does so much more on the court than Schroder does as well.

The Lakers replacing him with Brogdon would be an A+ move and quite honestly, if the Lakers were to add Malcolm Brogdon, the only reason why they would not win another championship next year would be because of injuries.

If LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Malcolm Brogdon are healthy for Los Angeles heading into the postseason, they would undoubtedly be the favorites to win another championship.
