Heat Receive: Kristaps Porzingis

Mavericks Receive: G Goran Dragic, F Andre Iguodala, F/C Precious Achiuwa, 2025 1st Round Pick

Looking at this trade, it’s hard to find a reason why either side would say no. If the Mavericks are truly interested in moving on from Porzingis, this trade gives them excellent value. On the other hand, the Heat would be adding star power and forming a “Big Three,” which is something that Pat Riley is always looking to do.

For the Mavs, they would be acquiring an athletic monster in the front-court with the addition of Achiuwa. He has a long way to go in his development, but he could play a role immediately. Adding two veteran role players in Iguodala and Dragic would also help give Dallas more depth, which they needed this season.

Obviously, every team loves adding future draft picks. Dallas could use that pick to add more young talent in the future or package the pick to make another deal.

Miami would be forming a “Big Three” of Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Porzingis. That big three would be a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. It could be enough to power them to an NBA Finals run again.
