Does this trade make sense for the New York Knicks?
There was plenty of excitement in New York this season. Madison Square Garden was back to being loud and full of energy during the postseason but that quickly ended. Now, the front office will have to continue pointing this team in the right direction. Tom Thibodeau also be a huge factor in their success.

Thibodeau was named Coach of the Year after leading a team that was projected to win about 20 games to 41 wins and the fourth seed. New York was arguably the best defensive team in the league and they did it mostly without Robinson. The Knicks drafted Robinson but could be growing impatient waiting for him to get healthy and play a full season.
The Knicks already have two first-round picks in this year‘s draft, with one coming from the Dallas Mavericks in a deal that sent away Kristaps Porzingis. This would land the Knicks a third that they could either put in another deal or add an elite prospect.
The Knicks have been in NBA rumors over the years but have failed to make any significant noise. This year, they cannot afford to sit on their hands and they must go to land a next level player.
