New York Knicks
Once the offseason officially gets underway, the New York Knicks will be a team that will receive a ton of attention from the NBA community. The Knicks finally secured a spot in the playoffs this season with a 41-31 record, which was good enough for the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference.

However, despite Tom Thibodeau winning the NBA’s Coach of the Year award, the Knicks were bounced in the first round by the Atlanta Hawks in five games.
While the 2020-2021 season was a step forward for New York, this offseason will determine what their future holds. With some cap room to work with, along with draft picks if they need to use them, the Knicks are expected to be active in free agency and on the trade market. Acquiring at least one star player is a must for New York this summer.
Ingram hasn’t been talked about much as a possible addition for the Knicks, but he would be a fantastic acquisition for Thibodeau’s squad. The team has to get pieces around Julius Randle (unless he is required to be part of a trade for Ingram) and RJ Barrett. A move for Ingram would allow Barrett to remain at shooting guard, and it would give the Knicks an upgrade over Reggie Bullock at the small forward position.
