Derrick Rose
How cool would it be to see Derrick Rose return to the Bulls this offseason? It would be nice to witness Rose play for a legitimate contender, but it remains to be seen if contenders express interest in Rose, let alone if Rose decides to depart the New York Knicks in NBA free agency. We know for a fact that Tom Thibodeau and Rose can’t quit one another, so a return to New York is definitely in the realm of possibility.

But it would be remarkable to see Rose return to where it all started, helping his original team make a push for the playoffs in what will be his 14th season in the league. While the theatrics of the move would be welcomed by fans, Rose’s play in recent seasons would make for some exciting offense in Chicago.
Even though Rose isn’t the same explosive point guard he once was when he won MVP, he’s molded into a more efficient scorer in the latter part of his career.
In two out of the last three seasons, Rose has made 37 percent or more of his three-point attempts, and he’s shot 47 percent or better from the floor in those three seasons. Rose is still more-than-capable of attacking the basket and converting at the rim. But it’s his ability to knock down outside shots that makes him an intriguing free-agent option for the Bulls, along with the headlines of his return to the Windy City.
