Sacramento Kings
Before diving into the teams who could trade for Ben Simmons, I need to preface by saying that whichever team acquires Simmons needs to be able to send a guard — preferably a point guard — for the 76ers to be interested in the offer. Trading Simmons and not getting a guard to replace him would be a massive mishap by Philadelphia’s front office. With that out of the way, there are a few teams that could conjure up an enticing offer, including the Sacramento Kings.

Let’s be real. The Kings aren’t a team that is on the cusp of making the playoffs anytime soon, in large part due to the incompetence of the front office. That doesn’t mean that the team isn’t littered with talented players.
In an attempt to send Simmons as far away as Philadelphia as possible, the 76ers could trade him to the Kings. Sacramento could offer up a package that begins with De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield, then add more to sweeten the deal to Philadelphia’s liking.

Fox has shown vast improvements in his game, showing a willingness to hoist more outside shots, which is something that Ben Simmons refuses to do. During the 2020-21 season, Fox notched a career-best 25.2 points per game on 47.7 percent shooting, and he attempted a career-high 5.5 three-pointers per game.
Besides Fox, the 76ers could add a lethal sharpshooter in Hield, who could slide into the starting lineup as a floor spacer. Draft picks and other players would inevitably be involved, but a package from the Kings that begins with Fox/Hield is one that could slightly interest Philadelphia.
