Joe Harris must do something for the Nets in Game 6

In the first two games of this series against the Milwaukee Bucks, Joe Harris did his job, scoring 19 points in 7-11 shooting, 5-9 shooting from three-point range, in Game 1 and then scoring 13 points on 5-12 shooting, 3-7 shooting from three-point range, in Game 2, but since then, he has been non-existent for Brooklyn.

In Games 3, 4 and now 5 combined, Joe Harris has 16 points on 6-30 shooting, 4-20 from three-point range. With Kyrie Irving likely out for the series and James Harden basically playing on one leg, Joe Harris needs to be better in Game 6 in order for the Nets to give themselves the advantage in this series.

We keep saying, “Joe Harris needs to step up, Joe Harris needs to be better,” yet it seems like he is just stuck in his shooting funk right now. At some point, he is going to explode and make everything he shoots, like Jeff Green did in Game 5 of this series, but can this performance come in Game 6?

Harris needs to make at least 3 threes for Brooklyn in their next game in Milwaukee because they cannot depend on Kevin Durant to have another all-time great performance. Kevin Durant is more than capable of going for 49 points again and torching the Bucks, but chances are that Milwaukee is going to double, sometimes triple-team KD, which means Harris will be left open.

He needs to be able to knock down shots from the perimeter, otherwise all the momentum in this series will be going back to the Bucks and we will be heading towards a defining Game 7. At some point, Joe Harris is going to wake up and the Nets need him to do so in Game 6.
