Cade Cunningham is the undisputed #1 overall pick regardless of who have the #1 pick
Ever since he committed to play at Oklahoma State, Cade Cunningham has been the projected #1 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft for a while. However, you really cannot go wrong with any of the guys listed as the “Top-5” players in this year’s draft class. Cunningham is in this list, but so is Evan Mobley (USC), Jalen Suggs (Gonzaga), Jalen Green (G-League) and Jonathan Kuminga (G-League).

Many people know of Mobley and Suggs from watching them in the NCAA Tournament this year, but not many people know a lot about Green and Kuminga, who opted to play professionally in the G-League this year instead of playing collegiate basketball.
In the G-League, both Jalen Green and Jonathan Kuminga were excellent in displaying their versatility and athletic skill-sets, which has made each of them some of the best talent available at the top of the draft this year.
Depending on who ends up with the #1 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft could very well determine who is going to go first in the draft, which is why Cade Cunningham is not the undisputed #1 overall pick right now. He is a fantastic talent with All-Star potential written all over him, but Cunningham is a point guard and not everybody at the top of the draft needs a new point guard.
Definitely “sell” the NBA Draft rumors that Cade Cunningham will be drafted #1 overall as of right now. He could very well end up being the #1 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, but until we know who is drafting first overall, it is hard to definitely say that he is going first no matter what.
