Toronto Raptors Receive: C Karl-Anthony Towns
Minnesota Timberwolves Receive: F/C Pascal Siakam, F OG Anunoby, G Malachi Flynn, 2021 first-round pick (seventh overall), 2022 first-round pick
Of course, the trade begins with the Raptors landing Towns in a trade that would cause quite the commotion on social media. To acquire Towns, Toronto gives up two of their marquee starters in Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby, along with Malachi Flynn.
For the Timberwolves to have any interest in completing a trade that involves Towns, they’d need some draft capital in return, in which the Raptors can give them their seventh-overall pick in this year’s draft and their first-rounder for next year.

Towns is under contract through the 2023-2024 season after signing his designated veteran extension that is worth $158.25 million over five years back in 2018. So to make the financial part of the trade work — plus give the Timberwolves a cornerstone player in return — Pascal Siakam would need to be at the forefront of the trade. Siakam is also under contract through the 2023-2024 season, with him being owed slightly over $105 million over the next three seasons.

Anunoby has a four-year, $72 million extension that kicks in next season, so the Timberwolves would need to figure out the logistics to make him fit. Flynn is on his rookie deal, making him a cheap, young player that adds a little more value to the trade.
Besides getting solid players in Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby, Minnesota would also get two first-round picks that could help replace the void left behind by Towns.
