Change is coming to the Portland Trail Blazers and after they just lost their first-round NBA playoff series to the Denver Nuggets in Game 6, they have already started making some changes and they “mutually agreed” to part ways with head coach Terry Stotts.

After 9 seasons coaching the Blazers, Stotts will not return to Portland next season. Since he was hired in 2012, Portland has gone 402-318 (55.8%) and have made the playoffs in 8 of the 9 seasons he was coaching them, including one trip to the Western Conference Finals in 2019.

Since he was drafted by the Blazers in 2012, Damian Lillard has only played for Terry Stotts, so this offseason will be critical for Portland to make all of the right moves. There have been a lot of NBA trade rumors lately about numerous teams inquiring about the availability of Damian Lillard, but sources have told NBA Analysis Network that Portland does not want to trade their All-Star point guard.

Between finding a new head coach that will please Damian Lillard and adding more talent to this team, the Blazers have a lot of questions to answer this offseason, which is why they could be busy on the trade market.

Assuming that they keep both Damian Lillard and McCollum, Portland will be looking for ways to add more experienced, high-level talent to this roster, which is why a guy like Terrence Ross could be on their radar. Orlando is embracing the “tanking” process and with them also searching for a new head coach after parting ways with Steve Clifford, it is expected that Ross will be available in the offseason.

With him under contract through the 2022-23 season, Ross is a versatile, athletic wing that fits Portland’s offensive-minded mold, which is why Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report thinks it is possible that the Trail Blazers could look to trade for the 30-year-old shooting guard.

With that said, let’s take a look at what this offseason trade between the Trali Blazers and Magic could potentially look like.
