Does this trade make sense for the Memphis Grizzlies?
The Memphis Grizzlies clinched the last spot in a very difficult Western Conference playoff field this season. They are trending in the right direction and want to keep ascending toward the top. That is where the front office could choose to make a big-splash deal for some help in the backcourt.

The duo of Ja Morant and Gilgeous-Alexander would give the Grizzlies cornerstone players for years to come. Morant is just 21-years-old while Gilgeous-Alexander is 22-years-old. Both players are dynamic guards who can create for themselves and their teammates at a high-level.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander played just 35 games this season but put up his best offensive numbers with 23.7 points per contest while shooting 41.8% from three-point range.
This is a duo that would complement each other well because of their different skill sets and the fact that they can dominate in different ways. It would be an expensive deal for Memphis but one that would work out well in the long run.
